OUR PROCESS
KAIHOUND STUDIOS was founded and managed by veteran industry artists, so we tend to have a clear understanding of what exactly clients require and expect. For us, communication is a priority.
After signing contracts and agreeing on the scheduled work to be done, generally we will ask for a brief from the client, along with any visual reference they can provide. We find that a combination of both verbal and visual reference in the briefs description tends to help us visualize the client’s vision with precision!
From there, our typical interaction with out clients can be broken down as follows:
Sketchs
Refined sketches from feedback
Lines
Color
Rendering & final touches
Preparing PSDs for final delivery
We tend to ask clients to choose a sketch for us to proceed with, or to provide feedback on the direction they wish to take the sketches.
After a few rounds of feedback, we confirm the client is pleased with with the initial direction, before then taking the piece to completion. We will confirm that the client is happy with the final piece before submitting the finalized files, JPEGS, PSDS, etc.
OUR ETHOS
When it comes to company work ethic, we value our artists as equally as our clients. We do not prioritize one over the other.
As a company founded by artists, we deeply understand that the best work comes from artists that are happy, fulfilled, understood and valued. Naturally, Artists are not art printing machines, which is why we are strongly against negative work practices that can impact employee’s mental health in negative ways.
In order to build a world class team, we strive to create an environment that allows artists to grow, learn and develop into the best artists they can be. By securing that, we know artists can make the best work possible for clients. For us mutual benefit is key to making sure everyone, both in house and client side, is extremely pleased with the work they are creating/receiving. :)
